I trust you are all having a great holiday.
Today I had breakfast at Drexels in Riccarton. I had my favourite...Eggs Benedict with bacon and a hash brown. Delicious!
Yum!
I am looking forward to seeing you all next week for the start of term 3.
In Week 10 Jessie and Sepela joined children from Tāwhirimātea and Ata Hapara to perform at Isaac Theatre Royal in Dancing Like the Stars. We had to be there before the audience to make sure we were all ready to go.
First, everyone went backstage and sat in their school groups.
Then we went on stage and had to practice the start of the dance so they could check the stage size and the lights.
Then we had to take our stuff and go and sit down and wait. While we were waiting we got to have a look at the theater from our seats. It was so beautiful!
All of the families were let in before the show started and it was so exciting to see them sitting behind us or waving at us from upstairs. Did you know there are 3 levels at the theater?
Finally, the show started and there were so many amazing groups! One school had the whole of their year 5 and 6 class performing. Between each school group, a professional dance group performed. Then, it was our turn! Everyone was so nervous but they pulled off an amazing routine and all of the teachers and families were very proud.
I hope that your holidays are going well! I have been enjoying some time relaxing playing with my cats Remus and Sirius.
They got to experience snow last week but they definitely prefer to look at it from inside! How about you? Did you get snow? Let me know by commenting!
Because the weather has been very cold I decided to do some inside projects. Check out the photos below of how I knitted a new beanie! I can't wait to wear it to school.
I did a special delivery last week of letters to Chris and Matt who provided all of the cardboard we used for Technology and they were so excited to get the letters. They both wanted me to say thank you very much and they were so excited to see some photos of your creations! You can also see photos on the blog.
I hope you all enjoy your holidays and are well! I look forward to seeing you on Monday ready for another exciting term.
